Who we are

Masa Ishikawa, Ph.D.,P.Eng.

Masa started his career as a Research Associate at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Shinshu University in Japan in 1989, then was promoted to an Associate Professor in 1997. He obtained Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 1995. His specialty was thermodynamics, heat transfer, energy conversion, and numerical simulation. He had published over 50 technical paper and articles mainly related to thermal energy storage system.

In 2006 he moved to Ontario, Canada, to start his position as an Engineering Advisor then QC Manager at a boiler manufacturer in Ontario. In December 2009 he was appointed as a President of the company. Besides his successful job as a President, he had been responsible for boilers and pressure vessels design to ASME BPV and CSA B51. He has been a committee member of ASME BPV since 2007.

He stepped down to Senior Fellow in 2019 to pass the leadership to the next generation. He then started his own business as an Engineering Consultant at Marstein Engineering with a special knowledge of ASME BPV. He is also a business owner of online math/physics education 65Gakuin.
